As much as many of us personally love Holly as a VFL, what does our fan base deserve?

Do we deserve to have the best there is and annual trips to the Final Four or not?

Those days are over, may as well get used to it. The recruits we have are mostly over rated and we are no longer able to recruit top 10 talent. This years recruits are a good example of where we are headed. The frost is off the pumpkin on players accepting a UT offer as soon as its received and rightfully so. A coaching change would probably not solve this problem. We had superpowers but failed to use them properly and now they are gone. We are still an average top 30 club but will never dominate again.

Per Fansided: "Tennessee looked completely lost in trying to beat a zone defense and a press, which falls on coaching." I totally agree. Holly does not have the ability to adjust when the opposition changes tactics mid-game. Losing happens, but being consistently out-coached should not.

None of us deserves anything, but it's expected that the Lady Vols compete for championships annually and winning a few like before.

Will we ever dominate again or ever be a top 5 program will rest solidly in the hands of administration. Are they committed to the elevation of this program, or could they care less? Look at the women's basketball programs that have been allowed to sink like a rock in the bottom of the ocean as compared the men's top basketball programs. Look at all the women basketball teams where bad coaches have been allowed to stay 30 or more years with little if any success. A lot of colleges are only interested in men's programs and look at Title XI as an annoyance. Compare Kentucky's men's basketball program to the once top Lady Vol program, if Calipari had a zero recruiting year we could stick a fork in him, because he would be done.

This program still can be what it was, but it starts with administration and its committment to the LV program and its fan base. Using sexual harassment complaints has nothing to do with hiring another LV coach. If that is an issue, go after a top female coach or at least one with potential. We blame Holly for the potential demise of this program, if it goes to hell in a hand cart, she has to bare some of the blame, but who keeps her on the pay role?

Dave Hart is certainly not going to fire a women's basketball coach who has made the Elite 8 in 3 of her 4 seasons... and good luck trying to get anyone to leave a good job for a program with such outrageous expectations if he did. Tennessee is still a name brand (although diminished) and they still have great home attendance to sell as well as television exposure. That means a lot. Recruiting will pick up again. Who knows whether or not Holly can ever get us back to the final four? She will get a chance though, like it or not.

For me it is much like D coordinator change in football this year. If you can get a homerun hire to agree to come before letting Holly go, then let Holly go. If you do not have that home run in the bag, then it is better to stick with a "good" coach than switch and possible get a Dooley.

The season is over, and nothing is likely to change unless staffers leave for other jobs. I think players, coaches and fans are ready for some distance from this disappointing season. It has been a miserable one.

We already have the Dooley of women's basketball, so we have one achievement, now to the next one. It will be clear how good Holly is as a "good" coach by the signees in the 2017 recruiting class and who she can bring in to help with the 2016-2017 season. A "good" coach is not only determined by X&O knowledge, it is also determined by who you can bring in to teach X's&O's.

You are so correct. For me, it has been every bit as disappointing as the day after Christmas was when I was a kid.

The simple truth its time for new blood. And up an coming young coach with new ideas. We should be 40 minutes of hell pressing all game. This team is so much more explosive in transition than half court. But in a half court setting we dont have shooters. We have athletes. And that where the game has passed Holly by. Defense dkesnt win championships any more if your only scoring 60 points per game and your opponents are scoring 61. We need more offense. And that means finding shooters. Sadly watching the womens tourny they are all over the country but Knoxville.

The thing I notice about the teams in the FF is their coaches show a lot of energy and are not afraid to get in a player's face. Holly seems too passive and will not call a player out. The girls don't seem to want to play hard for her as if they don't respect her. This issue will work itself out if recruiting falls out, from a casual observer, the trend doesn't look good...

Well that's some pessimism there. I think many people were thinking this about the football program just a couple of years ago. I admit the thought was creeping into my head as well. I dare not think it now, LV's are much more dominant in their sport than even Vol football, so chances are good we'll be on top again. The right person has to be leading though. I would volunteer, but I know relatively little regarding strategy in basketball. I could still probably make the Sweet 16 with UT's roster, but I'm afraid I can't promise more than that.

As long as we have current administration it isn't important.

I would think most fans would want the latter because of our great tradition and our ability to get the players due to our past. I don't doubt Holly is a good person probably to good and that is one reason she shouldn't be basketball coach.
This team set a lot of records this season that are negative that with supposedly 7 McDonald's High School all Americans on the roster. That tells you everything you need to know. Either all these players were way overrated or very much under coached and developed. It could be both but we need a stronger basketball mind for our program.

don't forget about all the injuries during the season too, they finally get healthy and have a good run and then the injury bug strikes 3 players in the Sweet 16,they did stay in the game till the 4th Quarter and then the damn turnovers killed them

if Reynolds had been healthy,i think it would have been a different out come,Cooper did look like a lost Freshmen late in the game, which guess what ? she is a Freshmen :)

13 seconds left in 1st qtr. You have a 4 point lead, shot clock is off. You take a jump shot from 16 feet. Just one of many things that make me smh.

The Lady Vols are slowly becoming Old Dominion, USC and Louisiana Tech. Get the hint.

Not comparable at all. USC was only a contender while they had Cheryl Miller and Cynthia Cooper ('82-'86) and Old Dominion and Louisiana Tech are from mid major conferences without the resources and facilities of an SEC athletic dept. Tennessee not only just finished 2nd in attendance but will never have to worry about national television exposure. They have also made the Elite 8 in 5 of the last 6 years. They have slipped for sure but not exactly fallen off the cliff.

Leave Holly in charge. Kentucky, South Carolina and Mississippi State have passed us by. Texas A&M new to the conference but have also passed us by.
