Completely agree. Some people expect perfection every day, it just isn't going to happen. It's one thing to strife for it, another to expect it. To those people I say "look in the mirror". All teams go through ups & downs. Pearl has brought UT to its best mens basketball position ever. I imagine most of the complainers on here are under 25. If you're over 25 and still complaining, you've really got a problem--immaturity.

If Pearl is fired and we get hit with penalities, then what good coach would want to come to U.T. knowing that we have NCAA penalities?? By the time the sanctions are
completed, maybe two years later, then the team will be a 10 win team. What good coach would want to come to U.T. after two years of sanctions, to re-build this program??
Bottom line is that Pearl is gone because the NCAA wants to make him an example. Then no good coach will come here because we will be re-building. I feel that if Pearl had kept his nose clean, then we would keep growing and eventually win a national championship. At this point, I feel that the U.T. basketball program has reached its full potential because of the upcoming NCAA penalities. No NCAA penalities, then we be hanging a banner in TBA. Oh well!!!!

I stayed in Garden City, ended up going to Savannah State for a couple years. I'd love to go back, not to Garden City though

It is amazing how some people are calling for his head. Ever since Pearl has been here the basketball has been the best in the SEC. Tennessee bball has had bigger and better wins than the football team. Has everyone forgotten that we lost 3 senior starters? Last years elite 8 would be equivilant to the football team going to the Sugar Bowl. Tennessee has played on the some of the biggest stages of college basketball since we hired Pearl. UT became #1 and have beaten #1 more than once and its all because of Pearl. I know there are alot of people who are frustrated with the last 4 games, but you can't forget 2 big wins this year that we won with the same group of players. Give them time, they have played sloppy like this before and made it to the tournament.

UT football is the winningest team in the SEC ever since Gen. Robert Neyland took over. UT basketball is the winningest team in the SEC ever since Bruce Pearl took over. Give him a break.
