I think most of the risk for the mom comes at actual child birth or shortly before. That's long after that "certain" point of yours.There’s a reason in my original post I put at a certain point. At a certain point, the baby is considered a human.
You stated the fetus is mainly affected. The risk is there for the woman, complications that may come with it, carrying the baby to full term, and caring for it.
This has nothing to do with affecting others by potentially spreading a virus, which affects many others.
