Any explanation as to why this wont work out? Im not trying to be coy, Im merely wanting to hear your thoughts if you have strong reservations about him.

Other than the fact that Mike Sherman is an exceptionally mediocre coach with the personality of a floormat?

ok, now that you have called him out for not having a personality, anything about his actual "coaching" techniques???? You know, Offencive schemes, heavy on the pass, really doent like the option run, throws it 60% of the game...that kinda stuff......or if you just want to pick on the guy's interview skills and call him names like medicore, we can end this now. You wanna offer me your assesment on his "FOOTBALL COACHING ABILITY" and give me some reasoning, we'll talk.

doormat refrences and "medicore" put downs, and mostly "personality" critisim.....I get it, neither of you know a damn thing about the guy enough to say any more than...."He's like a doormat........uhhhhh.........his personality sucks and.....uhhhhhh....thats whats important......" I think I get it now...thanks.

Check his record with the Packers. Check the fact that most of the NFL teams he's worked for have been pedestrian on offense. I know plenty about Mike Sherman. In fact, I know he's a perfect fit for A&M. A mediocre coach for a meaningless program. That's a match made in heaven. Good luck on your next coaching search. You'll be doing it in about three years.

truly insightful hat. :hi:

You know, it amazes me how everyone respects your views on things (for the most part) including myself, but when faced with a legit question that specifically asks you "WHY" you feel a particular way about a topic, your response is child like and sarcastic. Dont placate me sir. Im not some "newbie" that will run away from you with my tail between my legs.

Nice to see you didn't bother to take my advice and look at Sherman's results everywhere he's been. He's just the offensive version of Greg Robinson. He'll last four years, tops. Enjoy watching your new doormat try to recruit against Bob Stoops. Just keep running from reality. It'll catch up with you soon enough.

Nice to see you highlighted the commentary portion of my post and disregarded the factual matter. Sherman is just another worthless retread. However, given the fact you people threw a bunch of money at trash like Franchione, he's about your speed. Enjoy fighting it out with Oklahoma State for those all important Alamo Bowl bids.

Wasn't Brett Favre going to retire if they didn't get ride of Sherman? I'm pretty sure I've heard that Brett didn't like him and didn't believe he was a winner.

Allright Hat, are we better off, in your opinon if we get a big name Off coord. or does it matter? With that said what is your take on hiring Major for that job? Is he a possible solution to the problem with offence? Sherman did leave money on the table for the hiring of new coords.

why would rodriguez go to A&M? He'll never be fired at WVU and he doesn't have to deal with a fanbase that actually expects to compete with texas and oklahoma.

I think our confrence is better, but he is sitting pretty where he's at. Virtually any of the big names that floated through the rumor mills on TXAGS.com were so far in left feild it was funny. The same could be said about the local mills in College Station, but out of all of the speculation, I would have guessed are best shot to get a bigger named guy would have been Rodriguez.
