I just texted my sons (both UT students) and blasted them for not guarding the rock. DUH. Told them that if somebody didn't bust a bammer's nose then I was canceling BOTH their tuition. Told them that they didn't deserve to be UT students - letting this happen on campus and all.

EDIT: just to be clear, i am joking, i don't ever -- and I mean ever -- promote violence. well, maybe in this one little case.

I hope they sandblasted the rock.....no doubt one of those sister humpers tried to "tea bag" it too.

NO, no it's not any more personal than it's ever been. They want you to make it personal. They want us to be emotional. They want us to come in there undisciplined, emotional, playing their game. They want to feed our youth. They want to get us down by two scores in the third quarter and all of a sudden we forget our practice, we forget our technique. We become emotional. We see red.

That's not what coach butch wants. Coach butch wants an even keeled team. He wants a disciplined team. He wants a team that will be playing for a win for the university of tennessee in the final seconds of the forth quarter where the stage isn't too big for them. Play tennessee football, be Tennessee fans. Don't give in to the dark side. compartmentalize and stay disciplined.

Do Bama fans usually do stuff like paint our rock on rivalry week? I haven't noticed any such stupidity and disrespect from them in the last two years...

Nah, usually they just do stuff like cheer when our QB gets injured or sue our coach because they cheated. But, I guess it's really personal now.
