Being older and more appreciative really resonates with me. I was 18 when we won in 98 and just thought it would always be that way. I'm just going to enjoy the ride no matter what happens the rest of the season.
Thanks for sharing buddy! I was 26 when we won it in 98. I'm definitely never taking it for granted again! Also remember Dale Jones. He was on the 85 Sugar bowl team. That 85 Sugar bowl was when I became a diehard Vol fan!

Yes SIR!
Chills Chills and more Chills!
Loved to watch his passion for the game when he played. He was 3-1 against the tide.
He was a leader of the defense against #1 Auburn who’s azz they kicked and he was a leader on the 85’ SUGAR VOLS that kicked Miami’s azz amongst others…..
Dale Jones - A Vol LEGEND!! 🧡🍊🧡🍊

GBO! 🍊🍊🍊

One other thing too. I truly believe this win has altered our trajectory as a program. It was already on the upswing but this creates a spike. This is a sea change! Like if we were looking at a flowchart at Tennessee's progress you would see a sharp incline at this moment!

Yeah, the Bama win felt like a transition point.

Like hiking a mountain range and rising above the tree line, suddenly able to see for miles in every direction.

Like when you're scuba diving, returning to the surface, and you pass through the thermocline, the water going from bone-chilling cold to nice and warm, all at once.

Like coming out of a cave after a morning spelunking, or the movie theater after a matinee, emerging from darkness into bright sunlight.

Each one of those transitions is just a few steps or strokes, a few short feet, but make all the difference. That's how beating Bama this year felt. We already knew the team was strong. This showed us they are special, to be cherished.

Go Vols!

I loved watching Dale Jones play. He always seemed to know where the ball was going. We need more Linebackers like him. And, I agree with that caller. Some damn administrators came in and messed everything up (Mike Hamilton). The third week in October is supposed to be for all the marbles. Now, am I ever going to get tired of watching the ending of the Alabama game?

Big Josh sums it up better than most ever could.

Okay. This is it. Of the dozens of videos I’ve watched since Saturday, this one is it. My generation finally speaks…eloquently…about what Saturday meant, what it used to mean, and what it might mean again. We have found our preacher for the Third Saturday in October. Bless his heart. Wow.

This video has made me realize how safe it now feels to give 100% of my heart to VOLS football.

Somewhere and sometime ago I learned that giving my all for UT ( as a fan) led to heartache, then heartbreak. BVS is the sports version (won't say equivalent because I know firsthand how devastating real abuse is) of being on the receiving end of an unhealthy relationship.

Now the bad actors, failures, and pretenders have gone on, and a Coach, Staff, and team are before us, Giving Their All for Tennessee.

I can safely say I give all my heart to them. Even if they come up short at some point, I know they will continue to bounce back, pick up the pieces, and do more great things for themselves, the fans, the children looking up to them, and this great state of TN.
This is already a team of champions.
