I don't believe we had a great pass rush last year. I'm not saying that's all you need to have a successful team--just that almost every superior team has a great pass rush.(vols kick balls @ Apr 3 said:does that mean last years team is one of our best teams cause they had a great pass rush?
We had a bunch of guys, especially Mahelona, who thought they were great. How many sacks did they make on the last drives by South Carolina or Vanderbilt? Overrated, the whole lot of them.(vols kick balls @ Apr 3 said:does that mean last years team is one of our best teams cause they had a great pass rush?
Maybe we were long on talent but short on effort and consistency. Gotta have all three to get the job done. Mostly, I ignore your posts.(GVF @ Apr 3 said:Mostly, I think you vent and whine and judge in your posts, but you have a good point here. Long on talent but short on consistency/effort = short on talent. The draft stock does not lie when it comes to what the pros think about you verses what you think of yourself. Work ethic, and dedication, and being a team player in the true sense is what gets you the rewards all around.
