J.T. Mapu

I don't know about Mapu, but I do know that we can't have enough defensive linemen. The BEST prevent defense is to add another pass rusher to pressure the quarterback. Our best teams always have a great pass rush.

I don't believe we had a great pass rush last year. I'm not saying that's all you need to have a successful team--just that almost every superior team has a great pass rush.

We had a bunch of guys, especially Mahelona, who thought they were great. How many sacks did they make on the last drives by South Carolina or Vanderbilt? Overrated, the whole lot of them.

Maybe we were long on talent but short on effort and consistency. Gotta have all three to get the job done. Anyone agree, or have I missed the boat here?

Mostly, I think you vent and whine and judge in your posts, but you have a good point here. Long on talent but short on consistency/effort = short on talent. The draft stock does not lie when it comes to what the pros think about you verses what you think of yourself. Work ethic, and dedication, and being a team player in the true sense is what gets you the rewards all around.

Do you? He spent all his high school and early college career getting as strong as he was what makes you think he can get ready in about 3-4 months he has at the most?

I've played the game and I know what it takes. Mark it down Mr Smarty Mapu will play UT is too thin at DT.

Matt use chemicals to enhance his body and got busted for it and kicked off the team or have you forgotten that. Just because he has gotten back on the team doesn't mean he'll be as strong or as good as before.

Mostly, I ignore your posts.
