Jack Daniel's Tennessee Fire

Available April in Oregon, Pennsylvania and Tennessee.

The Jack Daniel Distillery is excited to announce it will test launch a new flavored spirit called “Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Fire,” beginning in April, 2014. Crafted with Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7 Whiskey and naturally infused with a proprietary red hot cinnamon liqueur, “Jack Fire” will be available in three states – Oregon, Pennsylvania and Jack Daniel’s home state of Tennessee. Jack Fire will be bottled at 70 proof and priced in line with Jack Honey.

Enticing to all the senses, the aroma of fiery spice blends with the mellowness of Jack Daniel’s and a hint of red hot cinnamon. The result is a sweet, hot cinnamon kick that complements the smooth and delicious taste of Jack Daniel’s, giving you a unique finish full of unmistakable character.

We’re always listening to our friends and look forward to this test launch to let them try it, make sure it meets their expectations and then we’ll go from there.

Please check back for updates.

This must be similar to Fireball. I have to admit I keep a little Fireball in the cabinet to warm up with on those cold winter nights. I'll have to give this a shot. You can also mix it with a little apple cider to spice things up.

The honey wasn't bad. I bet this will be okay too. Not something I'll buy and drink often, but just an every-now-and-then drink. Nothing wrong with a little variety.

They're risking long term brand appeal for the hope of a quick buck off of brand name recognition IMO. Pretty short sighted.

Exactly this. So is Jack Daniels just going to become the Johhny-come-lately whiskey brand that jumps on the latest trend that is turning a buck?

Meh...I LOATHE Fireball so its hard for me to care much.

I've started wandering off into dark rums any how. Much more interesting than I expected.

Or you could look at it as "diversifying the brand".

If those coolers they put out awhile back didn't hurt the brand, this wont either. It's not even a mass release, they are just testing the market.

...you could always double down the next time you pickup some No 7 and voice your opinion that way

I don't really drink Jack anyways so it's not much of a concern to me.

Most people don't even know who makes Fireball, and that's Sazerac. Jack Daniels is far more well known brand than Sazerac in the whiskey world so why not give it a try?

You never hear someone say, "I'd like a Sazerac and coke please?"

I don't really care if it makes them money. I just think they deliver a ****ty product compared to other spirits companies.
