If we didn't get Gruden, here's a name I haven't heard mentioned a lot.
Many believe he would be a better college than pro coach.
His name would certainly recruit defensive players.

why look for pros who have no HS connections, no savvy recruiting in MOMS and Grandmoms homes, and would be stymied being restricted to 20 hrs per week working with kids. Hire a proven college coach w/o the baggage of Tressel or Petrino.

I understand the argument , but that's what assistants are for.
Guy is a people person and would pick up the in home stuff quickly.
Also a philanthropist very active in the community.
We need a name that can recruit with Saban.
