Jackson Ross is a Weapon!

I think there is going to be a Gus Malzahn type coach come along that will completely revolutionize the punting game in a few years. Instead of having a punter that is focused on distance and hang time there will be an athlete back there that can pass the ball, run it or kick it if that is what the coach wants. Kind of what Ross can be. Just think if a defense has to constantly be aware of a team going for it and can't have a man back to field a punt. You will lose something in distance a but gain a lot of options and take away a kick returner.

It's got to happen eventually. We've seen rugby style kicks for years where the punter takes a few steps sideways, but I've never seen a punter get moving laterally as quick as Ross is.
Watch a few minutes of Australian Rules Football and you will see why he looks different than the rugby style kickers so common today.

You know, it is funny you guys only remember the shank, but forget the 3 50 yard punts after it.
Don’t rain on their slander party😂. I agree. Except for the couple of unacceptable punts I thought he looked pretty good. And I’ll take JH and Ek’s opinion over the experts on Volnation 😂.

I'd prefer to not ever see the punter in action. However, I don't think I have ever been psyched about a kicker, nor will I ever be.
