Jadevon Clowney wants position move

Media has hyped him too much but he is the real deal. Best d lineman in SEC. That's top shelf when you can say that.

I think it's hurting his numbers not having a Melvin Ingram or a Devin Taylor on the line with him. Coaches can scheme for just Clowney without worrying about anyone else on the line.

That is why I am surprised their coaches have been so uncreative with him.

Agreed. Like you said, he could play any position in the front 7 depending on situation. I'd try him out blitzing from a LB spot some.

Another case of an athlete getting a big head. He hears everyone tell him how great he is/will be and then whines when everything doesn't go his way every play.

Anyone see the segment of clowney on college gamedy? They interview players and coaches , they all say how its impossible to contian Clowney, Ju'waun James speaks and says something to the effect of "he's containable and all you have to do is block him." Then they show a clowney hit, then show Ju'waun with cricket sounds.

Looks like our boy is right. Our line wants his loud mouth. I can't wait for the match up.

This was posted on twitter before the game last week.
The guy is good, he's just buying the hype a bit to much. Can't wait to see him and Tiny battle.

To be fair, Reggie White wasn't Reggie White until the middle of his senior year. I suspect the same thing is getting ready to happen to Clowney.

Real history.............not saying he will ever be as good as Reggie, but he certainly has the physical tools.

O-lineman just don't get it. Don't they know they are supposed to let Clowney by so he can make his highlight reels? After all, he is Clowney.

Yeah, o-linemen just let him walk on by to a school record 13 sacks and 23.5 tackles for loss last season........and you know the whole Defensive Player of the Year in the SEC last year.....yeah, the guy is all hype.

This is not even in the same stratosphere of what I meant. I know the guy is talented. He is being schemed against because of that. The question is how does a player of his caliber respond to that. You can either get yourself in better shape and play in the beast mode that you are capable of, or you can respond like this.

Quote:
"Very frustrating," the star defensive end told reporters. "I told the coaches you got to put me somewhere else -- in the middle if you want to -- somewhere I can make some plays [to] help my team get in position to win. But [Georgia] took me right out of the game." :cray:
