would be nice to see his ypc over 5 for the season. seems reasonable at his trajectory.

Utah State.... 11 carries for 29 yards
Arkansas State.... 23 carries for 83 yards
Oklahoma.... 14 carries for 97 yards
Georgia.... 24 carries for 119 yards

So we should expect an increase of at least 20-30 yards per game. by Vanderbilt, he should be rushing for 300 yards, give or take?

Hurd's is UT's bell cow and will continue to improve barring injury. Hurd has the ability to be a game changer for the Vol's, provided he gets some push from the oline....man it's nice to see Hurd drag would be tacklers for 2-3-4 yards or more.

He's BETTER than we think! Lane is getting swept up by comparison...someone needs to bump the thread predicting their rushing totals...most predicted Lane 900+ and Hurd 400+...I predicted over 1000 for Jalen...but he's better than I thought! :yahoo:

Been here for about 9 months. Early enrolled this past January. I agree though looks like Mr. Hurd is the real deal.

Honestly this may sound harsh, but lane is a senior and we are moving forward. I'd like to just see Hurd and Scott for the rest of the season. If you can't clear cut beat them out in practice, then look out! Best players take the field.

Last year everyone wanted to see more Lane instead of Neal. Now according to VN, he isnt actually hurt and has really just forgotten how to run the ball. Makes sense.

I've been waiting on Lane to bust out for 4 yrs. Sadly, I'm not sure it's in the cards for him. This year he is missing the downhill style that made me think he was better than Neal. I'm not sure if it's injury or mental but I wish he could get it straight cause HurdLane could be a heck of a 1-2 punch.

Still a lot of football left to play. I'm not giving up on him just yet.
