Butch was incompetent but Hurd also is the one who decided to quit on his brothers during the middle of the season.

When it all went down I thought the same thing; however, Butch Jones was never honest with Hurd. He kept lying to him so he wouldn't transfer. Hurd finally had enough. I can't blame him for that.

He would of claimed the rushing record. Then could return any fall day to fans that adore him. That makes me feel sorry for him a bit. The best part of his football career was at UT…statistically.

Needed 40 yards to overtake Jamal Lewis at #5 and 215 to pass Johnnie Jones for #4.

The RB who wanted to be a WR. Storyline did not play out well for him.

1st & 10 it was always Hurd off tackle. Always! Can you blame him for wanting to play for a real coach! I hated him leaving but I can't blame him looking back at ol Botch Jones!

When an oversized RB comes to you and says he wants to be a TE because Alvin Kamara is probably better and you say no…it could be the coach that is partially to blame.

Hurd bears some responsibility, but he was also 20 something year old kid wanting the best opportunity to have a pro career. Butch has shown himself to be little more than a used car salesman of the coaching world and his character flaws were laid out for all the players to see as he played favorites and was likely not up front with a lot of these kids. I wish Hurd the best in life.
