Beat a very talented Ballard team. I wish I would have known he was playing in it. I would have went over to Louisville and checked it out.

Football team just landed a 2014 commitment from Vic Wharton, he's good friends with Jalen, Blackwell and Bonds all from CPA.

I'm not sure if Wharton is at CPA this year, but I believe he was last year, and I know they're all still friends.

Wharton also is a pretty decent basketball so maybe he plays a little basketball, not sure. However, can't hurt our chances with Lindsey and the other CPA kids.

Yeah his dad is a track coach and he went with him from Catholic to CPA and then Independence.

3 of 12 teams were from outside Kentucky or Tennessee.

I attended some games when Hopson played in it as a senior. It looked like the organizer targeted out-of-state teams that had a highly ranked recruit. It's a good tournament. As of the late 90s, the in-state teams qualified for it based on their early-season performance.
