kid will be a starting OLB next year. i know alot of you think Weatherd and Bates will come in and dominate but it will be hard as hell to take a spot from Reeves-Maybin. he will be closer to 220-225 next yr as well. hes maybe 210 now. he and Maggitt could be pretty nasty.

that's true and they will be true freshmen, hopefully the Vols will be in shape for some red shirts, but i doubt that happening :)

What makes me more excited than anything is the week to week improvement these players are showing. We haven't seen that since the early 2000s.

thats the kind of TALENTED depth we've been missing for a while when players of that caliber are riding pine until its their turn as a jr or sr or unless they are supremely talented...

Pretty good for a guy that missed the Spring with a injury. Also seems like a pretty good kid. Talked to him last year at the Vandy game in Nashville. Told him to hang in there and that Tennessee would find a real Coach. He showed me the Power "T" on his Clarksville Northeast Letterman jacket and said I'm going to Tennessee.

Really hope we can get this freshman in on some snaps at LB or DB in the near future. He's ballin' on special teams. A sure tackler. A playmaker. Where do you think we could best use him? Nickel? Safety? AJ's spot in obvious passing situations?

He'll be and OLB. I wouldn't be surprised to see him get in on some snaps after the bye next week.

Daryl Hardy is my favorite Vol of all time. JRM reminds me of him. He is fun to watch an I hope he gets on the field more! He has totally embraced his role and he delivers every week.

He's been the leading special teams tackler. Always shows up on kickoffs and hits the stink off the other player. Ready to see him get some reps on defense!

JRM is going to be a beast for us in the coming years...
I hope he gets in the OLB rotation soon, just to see
if the kid makes as many plays on D as he does on ST...

he is always near the ball if he's not making the tackle

We know South Carolina is going to test our weaknesses on the edge with short passes and sweeps. We need someone to get outside and make a clean tackle at first contact. Reeves-Maybin has shown he can make the open field tackle

CBJ had a lot of great things to say about him in his locker room radio show. So excited for this kids future.

Well were still searching for that special someone...to take command of the Nickel position.

Maybe one of these returning CBs (Williams & Riyahd) can do that or slide Cam over there. Just some thoughts without breaking down the tape.

Huge part of this team. Will def start getting in the LB rotation and will be a OLB starter next yr.

Coaches have been working Jones and Williams in Coleman's spot with Coleman sliding into the nickel. If Jones or Williams are good in coverage, it would really help our secondary out.
