Jalen Wright??

I remember it. Small had come out earlier in the drive and Wright went in and had a nice run (I think for a first down). We were deep in LSU's end of the field and they pulled Wright to put Small back in. I think Wright was disappointed and didn't want to hear any explanation from the coach. At least that's how I interpreted it at the time.

UT was damn lucky on the fumbles. Hooker especially got bailed out. Bama will expose that kind of stuff.

Bama turns the ball over. That was our 1st game with that type of fumble issues. Hooker got hammered and anyone would have coughed that up. Some just never get it down on how to carry the ball properly.

That is exactly how I think it played out as well. My fear is Wright hits the portal at the end of the year. Small graduates and we are left with two scholarship sophomore RB’s to carry the load.

Wright should feel pretty good about his chances to start next season. He should also have the lesson of others who have looked for greener pastures and not had it work out so great for them. It was just a few seconds on the sidelines, so I wouldn't read too much into it. I'm actually more concerned that he'll never learn to hold onto the football.

Did anyone notice at one point in the game the camera kept following Jaylen Wright on the sidelines after he was taken out. He seemed like he was very frustrated walking around on the sidelines. He finished with:

12 Carries
59 Yards
4.9 Average
1 Fumble

I honestly think he is the most talented running back on the team. Do you think he is getting frustrated with the lack of playing time?
He will probably get more playing time if he doesn't put the ball on the turf as often as he does. This isn't the first fumble; some were in critical situations. I think JH is doing it right. Have to punish that type of action but at the same time put him back in to show that not all confidence is lost in the young man. Teaches the man that there are consequences for failure to do the job right.

Bama’s pressure was relentless against A&M. Far away the most pressure Hooker will have seen yet. I hope the coaches get the game plan for quick slants and curls.

Hes ran hard all year but if he doesnt improve on ball security immediately he will lose his job. Dylan Sampsons on his heels but missing his assignment in pass protection almost got Hooker killed. Someone is going to have to step up and own that number 2 spot.

DIdn't he fumble the ball out of bounds? Looked like a coach on the sideline hollered "Hold on to the damn ball!"
Not the same play. On this play he got a first down…needed 8, got 9. He was then pulled and was upset pulling away from the coach.

Small is hitting the lanes and pulling strong defenders with him. He will eat up minutes on the field. Wright is talented, Samson is exciting with the ball, but they both have big holes in their game (Wright's balls security and Samson's lack of awareness protecting the QB). They will have to really step up their game to have playing time.

Jalen and Jabari are almost dead even in number of carries and rushing yards this season. I like that kind of balance. Just seems like Wright is a bit stronger and better at breaking tackles. Can’t wait for these two guys to ball out next Saturday.
