It funny atheletes try to put the blame on them smoking weed, they just refuse to realize it was them, not the weed. Its just the easy way out.

You would be suprised if you were to find out how many atheletes toked up

I just have the opportunity to see a lot of kids get messed up in something they think is supposed to be "harmless" and even get the idea that it's good for them in some way.

With the recent media attention in high-profile atheletes and other figureheads, there is some very aggressive research that is reporting a lot of mental/psychological "side-effects." Those with any experience dealing with chronic "chronic" abusers will not be surprised.

The last person we kicked off the team for pot almost won the heisman.
DRUM ROLL PLEASE.

ONTERRIO SMITH

and he's still having problems in the NFL, I do believe he was suspended 4 games for violating the banned substance policy (or something like that).

Hopefully this move will help Banks get off the weed, and become successful. Didn't Terrell Owens play at Chattanooga?

You cant convince me that weed was the problem- the kid was messed up in the first place. Blaming it on weed was the easy thing to do

ONTERRIO SMITH

Smith rushed for 189 yards (6.1 avg) and 4 TDs during the 1999 season while playing behind Jamal Lewis and Travis Henry. He scored another touchdown on a pass reception. His best game was an 89 yd, 2 TD performance against Kentucky where he scored one of his TDs on a 61-yard jaunt.

In 2000, he sat out as he transferred to Oregon... and played for Oregon in 2001 and 2002.... gaining 2,199 yards with 19 touchdowns on 419 carries (5.2 avg.), ranking seventh on Oregon's all-time rushing list.

Meanwhile, the Vols struggled offensively in 2000, relying mostly on the running of Travis Henry (1494 yds and 12 TDs) and Travis Stephens (359 yds and 7 TDs). Final record that season was 8-4.

The Vols made a run at the National Title in 2001, while Travis Stephens carried the bulk of the rushing load (1502 yds and 11 TDs). The Vols lost the SECCG to LSU as the Vols rush offense was stymied by the LSU defense. The Vols finished the season 11-2.

However, for the disappointing 2002 season, the Vols relied on some highly regarded sophomores Cedric Houston (779 yds and 6 TDs), Jabari Davis (569 yds and 10 TDs) and Derrick Tinsley (202 yds). The Vols struggled on offense all season and finished with an 8-5 record.

We'll never know what impact Onterrio Smith could have had if he had laid off the weed? But I think he could have only helped at times during the following 3 seasons after he left Tennessee.

What is with this guy? James Banks has made one bad decision after another; enough is enough! He has taken UT for granted as well as his football ability; what a shame!
