considering how anti-corporate and anti-military the first Avatar was, Cameron set the bar pretty low for the sequel.

first one was average as far as plot goes. it was pretty, but the characters and storyline were pretty forgettable for the most part.

Humans better win this time.

...of course. They gotta set up the 3rd one somehow.

Never really understood why so many were up in arms about how the government guys were portrayed though. I know why, but lets not act as if blood was never shed over greed.

James Cameron is planning to shoot some footage seven miles underwater in the Challenger Deep, the deepest point of the Mariana Trench and also the deepest location on earth. The pressure at such a depth would be over 8 tons per square inch - far beyond the capabilities of even the most advanced Russian military subs, which can handle only 1,600 pounds per square inch.

So how does he plan on doing this part, exactly?

Deepest location on Earth? How did they fit a whole crew in Pamela Anderson's Va-JJ?

As far as Avatar 2 is concerned, never watched the first after hearing it was a complete rip off of other movies.

Never been a big fan of any of his movies.

For the life of me I don't know why the first one is praised so much.

I'll agree, although I never bothered to watch it. I'm not in to that garbage.

Ps, I don't recall a sequel to the tale of Pocohontas so this seems like a colossal money play just for the sake of making it. Which they certainly will.

James Cameron's biggest fan is James Cameron. His ego is bigger than the Titanic.

The special effects were amazing, and that was all the film was really a vehicle for.
