Right now Rivals has the top 25 recruiting classes for 2013, and 13 of the 14 SEC schools are on that list. Vandy is #21.

only 12 of 14 are in the top 25. Arky is like 40 something. Granted this is waaay early.

Kiffin had the fanbase excited and he may have went over the line a couple times, but his tactics of pi**ing other coaches off was fine with me. I know the dude's a prick, but we would have won the East year 2 under Kiffin imo.

With what players? kiffin himself even said it would get worse before it got better......not to mention his first class completely bombed.

UT won in OT last year. Not really the domination we want.

If you give a team enough chances eventually they will get close. I see the next few years the Vandy/UT rivalry (if you can even call it that) will get back to the norm of 40 point blowouts.

Franklin is recruiting pretty well...by Vandy standards. I think these games are going to stay tough like last season unfortunately.

Eh, year 2 would have been rough with that OL. 7 or 8 wins yes, but not the East.

Year 3? It would have been very good imo.

A win is a win no matter how it comes. Does the '98 win over Fla lose value because it was won in OT? Does the win over Bama in Tuscaloosa back in '04 lose value because it was won in OT? A win is a win and I'll take it

Well if he is focusing on in state talent that is actually a damn good ranking.

Now this is a question that came up in my head on his sales pitch to inner city kids like in memphis. Does he use "the black card"? "I'm one of three HC's in the SEC that is AA, you mom and dad would feel more comfortable with that." y'all get where I'm coming from? Please don't get your panties in a bunch but this poped up tring to figure what he's selling. On twitter he's pitching Education Nashville and playing time. But I wonder what is said behind closed doors in kids homes

I love James Franklin...dude sure does know how to make a bunch of UT boys moan and whine. It's pathetic guys...but funny.

Yeah they were also top 15 on rivals this time last year. They'll fade as the 'real' schools start pulling in recruits and their recruits come to their senses and realize they committed to Vandy.

Question for you: Is UT still one of the "'real' schools"?

The point was it was a close game, we didn't dominate them.

Vandy still ended up around 30, which for them is a tremendous improvement. I don't think they ever made the top 50 before.
