A kid can go there and say, 'Hey, I graduated from Vandy.' That would look pretty impressive on a job resume.

Unless the people involved in the hiring process are football fans, in which case they'll automatically deem you a loser.

This blew my mind. I know having a degree from a top academic university is special but what else can Vandy offer that makes other teams have no shot at competing with them in recruiting? They have the worst stadium and athletic facilities in the SEC and probably in D-1. Not to mention, most top recruits wouldn't qualify to get into Vanderbuilt. Dude has a rude awakening coming imo.

Did you really post that?

Is it hyperbole, ignorance, or both?

Let me break it down for you. You are interviewing two people for a certain job. They both seem equally qualified. Candidate A attended UT, Candidate B attended Vandy. Candidate B is probably going to look more appealing because of the institution listed on his/her degree. Football is irrelevant in the world of hiring.

any school can throw out an offer. I believe it was posted earlier they've given hundreds
yeah, that is the truth.

But getting their name out the way they are is going to help. cannot even guess how it turns out, but I think it will be interesting to follow.

I read today on another MB that Vandy would be the top team in TN in three serious. If Franklin is even half way good he'll be gone by year three anyways.

Lmao!!! I think MTSU could beat them. I will be in Neyland laughing hysterically every time we score this year. F Vandy , and their D stained buttholes.

Given the history, I know MTSU can beat them. Vandy stopped playing them basically because they couldn't beat them. They are 0-3 against them, all at Vanderbilt Stadium, and the last one was in 2005 when Vandy came in 4-0 and MTSU was 0-4 and they still couldn't win.
