Received word this morning that James Stone has setup an official visit to Knoxville this weekend after his visit with Chaney yesterday. Obviously, we are waiting on confirmation from one or both of the recruiting services, but this comes from someone close to the recruitment. This is a great sign and hopefully occurs this weekend.

I think we will see a lot of recruits, that didnt care for Kiffin but liked Tennessee, come for officials in the next couple of weeks.

Maybe J. Smith can work on getting him here during that visit! I read somewhere awhile back that Smith was trying to talk Stone into committing to the Vols.

From Nash. and have seen him play. Guys, he is a serious work in progress. Has no,no,no, pass blocking skills. He is athletic and large but needs major coaching.

GBO>>> Would much rather have ARIE,Cullen or Green. JMO...

This is great! After Eric Mack decomitted from USC, I was wondering about our OL prospects and couldn't imagine how we wouldn't be able to land Stone. What a nice surprise.

I heard the same thing from the parent of a player who played against him this year. However, remember where he plays and what he is asked to do. Maplewood doesn't have ex NFL and College players on their staff like some of the other Nashville programs. I am not knocking Maplewood's staff but I would venture a guess that they didn't play for the Titans, or Bama like Ensworth, MBA, etc. He will get more complete coaching at the next level.

Stone has a lot of upside. Look at his offer list and you'll see the kid has promise he just needs coaching. Cullen and Green I would definitely take above him. Not so sure about Arie straight up but if you count in his brother.

If he doesn't end up a Vol then it likely means he's going to Bama. I certainly don't want that to happen. Just because he may not be ready to play as a freshman doesn't mean he isn't worth taking. It's rare for true freshmen OL to come in and dominate in the SEC anyway.

I would really like to have him here. He is a Tennessee boy and we have had many homestate players prove the recruiting services and talent scouts wrong because they play with more heart it seems. Just look at Nick Reveiz this year.

I think that Stone shoul be a high priority since Cullen and Green are not locks like they once we thought to be.
