You don't take the real ACT in 7th grade....and a 31????

If you did make a 31???? where did you go to college??
Oxford? Yale? Columbia? The Sorbonne in Paris?

Actually I took the ACT and SAT in 7th grade (didn't get a 31 then though).

"That kid's a heck of a player that we obviously missed on early, there's no question about it," Newberg said of Hughes. "Right now, to me, he may be the best prospect in the state when it’s all said and done. And we just flat missed him.

"That's hard to do today, just miss a guy like that, but we did. He's a great pickup."

Fulmer said Hughes, at this stage in his career, bears a striking resemblance to former Vols defensive tackle Justin Harrell, who transformed from a little-known recruit to a 2007 first-round NFL draft pick.

Where did Hughes play high school ball? The areticle doesn't say, but I'm assuming from the greater metro Chattanooga area?

Quotes from Symrna head coach Phil Shadowens:

"I have been impressed with him for a couple of years," Shadowens said. "He played in our region, and he was the best defensive player we went against. He has a high motor. He is physically strong, and he plays so hard. You had to scheme around him. You are not going to run power plays right at him because you couldn't move him. We just couldn't block him up front."

"I had told every college coach that came by here to see me about Rod (Wilks) that they should check out this kid," Shadowens said. "I was anxious to see how he matched up against those offensive linemen who were committed to other Division I schools. I promise you he was unblockable in one-on-one drills. He played with great leverage and he has really good hips. He was definitely the best defensive player all week."

"If he gets his academics in order, he will play early up there," "I am telling you he is a good, good football player. He reminds you a little bit of Albert Haynesworth. He has long arms and really uses that to his advantage to keep people off of him."

"He has a reputation of getting angry, but Montori said it was because he hates to lose and if you go back and watch tape of him in high school you can see that. He impressed me with is work ethic. It is really rare to see a guy with his tools, who plays that hard at the high school level. He really is kind of nasty on the field which you have to be at that position."

Actually, a lot of people do as part of a Duke University program. I took the SAT in the 7th grade. I didn't set the world on fire . . . but I would have qualified to play football.

I did too and really wondered how the requirements could be so low. I actually had 2 girls copy my test with hopes they would score better. I was too shy at the time to tell them the questions are in a different order.
