VolCrazy is right in that you really have to worry now that Tucker will never be able to play at a high level again. That would be a damned shame.
It looks like the earliest she could be ready would be the same year Diamond can play.
Russel rehabbing until October is bad news as well. We just can't buy a break with injuries. They always seem to rob us of a piece that we need to make a serious run.
On the plus side, Vicki Baugh was able to make a WNBA roster in spite of her knee injuries.
The good thing is that Tennessee will be plenty deep at SG and wing that they wouldn't need to ride Tucker for 35 min per game. Even if she's limited to 15 to 20 like Baugh was, she can still be a major contributor to the team.
we obviously don't know whether the injuries she suffered from her male friend were directed at the knees, But as Voluble2 stated she is someone to root for.
I think expectations about Tucker have to be pretty low this year, frankly. First, she didn't play her senior year of high school, correct, and hasn't played for two years. That's a lot of time away from the game. Second, she's coming back from knee surgery. Third, she's taking big step up the competitive ladder this year. Unless she practiced quite a bit last year and is truly special, I wouldn't expect a lot from her. My bet is that it will take her time to get up to speed.
I don't believe Lady Vols Basketball is a charity organization, with that in mind, the basketball powers I am pretty sure, knew what they were getting in Jannah. She will be ready to play:thumbsup:!I don't know if he caused the original injury, but I did read where he allegedly beat her in the legs with a dog chain to try to keep her from being able to play. I think it was her cousin who said that. So yeah, if she gets on the court at all it will be a victory.
I am just glad she is here and likely/hopefully safe from all of that now. I will cheer my ample ass off for her if she ever takes the floor.
