I didn't hear the comments but I hope they were scathing. Like I said, throw a rock into a pack of dogs and the one's that get hit yelp. There should NEVER be a situation where a player feels he has to speak out AGAINST his own fans. But that's UT and the holier than thou ***wipes we have as fans.

He probably wouldn't be unless he felt it was necessary. You ***wipes who think you're above it all need a comeuppance IMO. I love the attitude that you can diss him but he cant go on the air and diss you. Really? Seriously? What makes you so bad and so untouchable?

Well, hey, wake up. He's not talking to ALL the fans. Only the one's who need it. If that doesn't apply to you then there's no reason to acknowledge it. It's just unfortunate we have so many unknowledgable fans about BB and an admin that makes more money in BB than almost anyone but Kentucky but wont pay a coach.

And if you happened to be a professional athlete you would be fined for comments derogatory to the fan base. And if you happened to be a major college athlete you should keep your mouth shut and play ball. Most coaches in college sports would run you til you were sick and then would limit your media exposure.

FYI the only "diss" I had have for stokes this year, if you can call it that, was that he should not pop off about fans or fake fans. He would have been fined had been in the NBA.

I was thinking the same thing. Some fans are upset because Stokes made comments publicly, while they hide behind a computer in anonymity and call our players things like "garbage". Stokes has TWENTY double-doubles this year and some moron called him "garbage". What an idiot and at least Jarnell was man enough to say it publicly.

My position is if you're gonna criticize someone don't be all offended when they shoot back at ya.

You sound like the Tech fan that spouted off to Smart, I can talk $hit to you and you can't do anything to me.

Congrats to Stokes. I've been frustrated at times this year but they sure are playing well now.

I'd love to see him try football FWIW, did he play in high school?

I disagree. It is time that posters realize that their rants and rave on these boards have extreme negative impacts on players and coaches. Unfortunately, most posters value their moments of self satisfactions more that the negative impact on out football, basketball and other athletic programs. Posters should reevaluate their impact on players and recruits.

they fine them for violating the dress code but since you are the queen of asking for a link then i will find one and from now on i will request that you provide a link for everyone of your statements.,....

yes thats really the same... find a post where i criticized stokes other than in this thread... go find it..... go on, try real hard.......

my criticism has been directed at the head coach not any specific player,...

but again you try to deflect - u have been critical of CCM this year like many on this board.....

the point is that players especially college players should not criticize their fan base...... What do you think Butch Jones would do to one of his players who popped off about fans? What would Phil Fulmer do to a player that did that?
