Jarnell Stokes Quotes...

haha I love the quotes! If that don't get you pumped for basketball 4 months early than something is wrong with you!!!!!!!

When i see "I can bury guys now" it gives me an image of a Shaq dunk. Dono why

Also, winning in Rupp would be AMAZING! Especially since Cal has NEVER lost in Rupp, this would be pretty huge. In fact, I'd trade either a Vandy or Florida sweep and a mid major blowup to whip the kittens at their place :good!:

I have to imagine opposing teams post players will not look forward to guarding us next year. Maymon, Stokes, Hall (assuming he stays out of trouble), and hopefully Yemi should make things tough.

Stokes: "It’s definitely hard for guys to leave Memphis & I understand. (Guys) might not like leaving home, but it might be the best thing."

Jarnell Stokes on him going to Tennessee: “I definitely think it opened up the door in Memphis."

CCM sure has Stokes working the Memphis angle hard. It'll be interesting to see if it pays off. I haven't followed UT recruiting super closely, but am I correct in believing that CCM has a majority of his top 100 "eggs" (read: recruits) in the Memphis basket?

Jarnell Stokes on playing in Bluff City Classic: "I thought there would be a lot of Memphis fans, but it was actually a lot of TN fans."

I liked this one the most. I didn't even know that Jarnell was playing in the Bluff, I assumed he was here in Kville for the summer. I also like the part about all the UT fans at the Bluff. Although that's absurd, it would explain the shootings. (I kid)

A lot of stock is in on Nichols, hubbs, jw3 and Crawford. There's about 6-8 other guys he's on hard also...Newkirk, thornwell, Stephens, Davis, Rimmer, Agau and a few more.

Did anyone hear on sports animal this morning that Jarnell Stokes hates school and was definitely gone after this season? I know that is a horrible resource but I do homehealth and have to listen to something.

I dont mean to ruin the good news vibe but I just barely caught the end of it and was wondering if anyone else heard what they were talking about?

I love it, I do physical therapy but their are several different departments for it.

I applied for the occupational therapy program this past spring, but didn't get in. I'm going to do CNA classes this fall to get my CNA license, to at least get some experience in the medical field.

I was a CNA when I was right out of High School just to work in the medical field. The Occupational therapy and Physical therapy programs are very competitive...I didnt get accepted my first try either bc I was dressed up but didnt wear a tie to my interview...It is very important to pay attention to each detail.

I listened from 10-12 and didn't hear that mentioned once, if that's what they said I'm sure it'd have been a hot topic, they were hurting for material.

They were playing parts of his interview from yesterday media session and nothing remotely close to that came up.

Yeah I never realized how competitive those programs were. I'm going to re apply next spring and hope for the best. CNA is something I definitely don't wont to do forever, but figure it would be great for experience and to get my foot in the door.

the best thing to do if it fits into your schedule is to get a tech job at a outpatient therapy place....that will help alot.

They don't break any news, so I'm doubting it was accurate.

If true they wouldn't be the only ones talking about it.

it wasnt breaking news .....him not coming back was their opinion but I was wondering about what they were talking about the friend saying he hated school.

Dang. I hate when you type a post and it don't submit lol.

Like others have said, I wouldn't believe much you hear on that show. It's great to listen to when your bored but most of what you hear is opinion based or week old news.

But about Stokes, I'd be willing to bet it's a rumor. Every interview and quote I've read / heard since Bruce Pearl has showed me that Stokes is a smart, high IQ type of kid. Also, I don't remember which interview it was but I remember hearing that if Stokes got his dream of playing in the NBA, he would still pursue his degree and kept talking about how education is important. So...not sure that sounds like a kid that hates school.

I know and I take every thing they say with a grain of salt but was wondering if anyone else heard it.....the talk about the friend made me curious what was said.

They have podcast of those shows, but they update daily. If you have an idea what time you were listening, you can probably go back and find it, but it will be gone by tomorrow.

Quotes from Tiger High freshman Shaq Goodwin after
referencing playing in Brazil:

I learned a lot about how to play the post from Jarnell
Stokes. He helped me a lot on post moves, etc. Jarnell
will be one of the most dominant paint players people
have seen in a long time!

Wow high praise. Really think he's Primed for a big year, still my biggest concern is ft shooting. As I said earlier, it could be the difference between him averaging 12 a night to him averaging 18 a night.
