I saw a lot of Tebow stuff down here while he was at Florida that really pushed it, including a mall store with a #15 UF jersey hanging in their storefront window, with Tebow's name on the back of it.
I really don't see how they can get away with selling the Stoked shirt. When I saw the thread title, I figured it was a knock-off brand, like those Smack t-shirts, but this is the university doing it.
On a side not in worried about this shirt thing blowing up. Stokes made a comment on his twitte check out "my" shirt. If the university or he himself is tying him to the shirt that could be bad. Just a thought?
Only if it is found he or the univ. is directly making money or other kick backs off the shirt, which i doubt it happening. There are "Miller Time" and "Fear the Brow" shirts for Darius Miller and Anthony Davis of UK that have been selling for months. You see stuff like this every year. I wouldn't be concerned about it.
who makes these shirts? Do they have to get approved for licensing through the NCAA or UT? If I had come-up with this idea and made-up the shirts would Alumni Hall simply purchased from me? I don't understand the whole collegiate licensing/non-licensing process and how these companies navigate those waters.
Anyone can provide some perspective it would be greatly appreciated.
