Schubert has the grades to get into Vanderbilt and other top-20 schools. I would be surprised if she settled for a public university. Bright kids usually want to be surrounded by like-minded students. Has she ever expressed an interest in attending the University of Tennessee? Most recruits have a list of schools they are considering. Has she published hers? Also, the deadline has come and gone for seniors to submit their college applications (early January at most schools). I would imagine she has already submitted hers. Since she is in-state, she may have applied to Tennessee as her safety school. Does anyone from her home town have any specifics?

This is truly upsetting to me! I wish her well and for her and her talents I am mad that Holly (I wont say her staff because I'm sure they probably tried to inform her but like many of Holly's stubborn decision she choose not to listen) refused to play Jasmine at her Natural Position (The 4 spot) I understand she may have been a little undersized but her Leaping and Shot blocking ability would have made her no doubt an All American if she was used appropriately and not forced to keep playing the 3 spot. I don't think we ever got to see the true Jasmine and it is disheartening because I feel the same has occurred with Nia and will occur with several others under Holly's watch

Have you checked on who is getting into UTK these days? The Freshman average is a 27 on the ACT or the SAT Equivalent and a 3.85 HS GPA.

I understand your frustration, but if Jasmine had designs on playing professionally, playing the 3 was a benefit to her. With her physical skills she could have been a terror on the perimeter. It's a shame she never learned to play with the ball in her hands.
