This needs to be stated after the bashing of last week. Good job young man. Great play on the TD on a late throw from Justin Worley.

I was a basher two weeks ago and he deserved it...He played much better today and he deserves credit for that...Now he needs to build on this because the Vols need him badly....

The TD catch was bobbled, but he hung on. Hopefully this will give the young man confidence moving forward. He certainly has the physical tools.

This. Croom isn't the only player to ever get criticized and he wont be the last. Very solid game for Croom today.

I was even more impressed with his first down catch where he was short initially, but just muscled forward to pick it up. There ya go.

I'm glad somebody started this. Too often do we criticize and never praise when they do well. I was hard on croom last week and redeemed himself today. Hope to see more of this!

First of all I want to say good job Croom for holding on to the ball and yes, this kid always gives his all for Tennessee. Second of all I want to say, start catching the ball with your hands instead of your chest. Good WR's don't let the ball get to their body. That's the kids problem. He has all the right skills. He's fast, physical, plenty of strength, but he has hands like feet. When the ball consistently hits him in the chest he will continue to have drops. Not trying to throw stones, just noting an observation. If Croom ever learns to catch the ball away from his body he will be a monster for this offense!

Well, gee, let's see. He's 6'5 240 WR. He should be kicking teeth every game. That's a pretty big ole boy there. At that size, and I'm speaking for myself, I would exert or force my will on people. And they would definitely feel it.

I understand someone starting this thread after the bashing Croom took after the OU game, but I'll make the same point now as I did then. Sometimes players have bad games and sometimes players have good games. That's true of even the best players, they just have more good games than bad. Kudos to Jason Croom on a good day.

I would like to apologize to him though for Bob Kesling being a complete failure at his job and calling him "Justin" Croom on more than one occasion. Really Bob? The least you could do is actually learn the names of our players.

Too many J's on the team for Bob imo.
