He might have had a band-aid on his finger. People like to make something out of nothing. Until Butch says so, I don't believe anything. In Butch I trust!!

Croom is an excellent player and should be a great red zone threat this year BUT the one spot we have depth is WR. Even hardcasts are used in sports medicine and by orthos for smaller issues, particularly when you want speed healing or demobilize the area. It's not as simple as a hard cast = a big break.

IOW, don't panic. Let's hope the best for Croom but let's not overreact either to what his injury might be OR the impact on the season.

He just texted me after eating a late lunch with the rest of the residents and said it was a compound fracture to every bone in his arm requiring surgery and possible amputation.

edit -for those that don't know, the MRI guy is full of BS and so is this post

Personally with croom I thought he wasn't near physical enough and wasn't very aggressive. I think that was points of emphasis in preparation for this season... Am I wrong? I didn't have much confidence in him last season.

played well the last half of the year. he was a redshirt freshman learning to use his body

If it was something serious the media and Volnation would be all over it by now.... ease back from the keyboard, I think he will be alright....
