I would say yes also ... it is also reported that some NFL teams are interested in Chip Kelly and Bill O'Brien. So if NFL teams are looking to the college ranks to fill their coaching vacancies, that might open the door wider for Gruden and Tennessee.

As someone who has read a lot of his reporting, Tennessee is irrelevant to La Canfora. He had no reason to mention Gruden to Tennessee unless he heard something in his "sniffing around" on potential NFL coaching hires for next season. Not saying Gruden is 100%, just saying he heard something from somebody important enough to capture his attention.
