Javelin Joe and Nico, Nico Man

I agree fully. If Nico wins the starting job it means the season isn't going well. Now there is a chance he is just that good but it seems like Huepels offense takes some learning for the QB. I mean look at how much better Milton and Hooker looked in the offense after a year. Milton will have 3 years of experience in this offense. and that's nothing to sniff at. As the article says Milton starting means the team is going for wins if Nico wins the Job it means either Milton failed or he is just that good. I think over time Nico is better but as of now its gonna be hard for a freshman to beat out a veteran with 3 years in the offense and his physical gifts..

It's not like Milton is not a freaking unit guys. He needs more touch on his game. Its not like the guy is known for throwing tons of picks. He overthrows some balls that can be fixed and he's shown progress on that front.

He doesn't throw tons of picks because he has the same problem Hendon had. Holds onto the ball too long. Now obviously Hooker was so damn good that that rarely cost the team much.. Joe also throws it so damn hard receivers are generally the only ones with a shot to catch it. If the defenders could catch they be receivers too.

I think our QB's don't throw many picks because our offense teaches our kids, if the defense is read properly, to throw to receivers that are single covered. Think about it, how many times this past season did Hooker throw to a receiver covered by more than one defensive back? To me, that's the beauty of our offensive system.

I didn't realize Milton had thrown 12 touchdowns to no interceptions. Thats good taking care of the football.

Well, JM3 hasn't thrown any interceptions per se, however, 14 passes have been caught by fans in the stands

Bazooka Joe is clearly the best nickname. It is perfect. Almost too good to be true.
Some people aren't satisfied with perfection, it seems.
Milton needs a NIL structured around it since the gum is still manufactured.

Not to act snarky, but hardly anybody buys that brand of gum anymore. Maybe some desperate for a chew folks. Today, most gums are: DoubleMint, Orbit, Trident, Stride, and so on. Bazooka does remain poplar in some countries, especially Israel, perhaps because of its Jewish connection. I grew up chewing and popping it. But later, it got surpassed by the likes of: Chiclets, Wrigley's Big Red, Mentos Bubble Gum, Hubba Bubba, Dubble Bubble etc.
The old WWII bazooka wouldn't do much if any damage to modern tanks. But the GM-148 Javelin literally blows the turret right off tanks. Which is what we want to believe JoMil will do with his long range artillery arm. No matter, some of us like the JoMil moniker of Bazooka Joe, I prefer Javelin Joe, to each his own.

Sorry for hijacking your thread.

To get back on topic, it will take an injury to Throwin' Joe Million for Nico to start.

Two years in the system, familiarity with the plays, and leadership in the locker room will trump physical ability in my opinion.

Thanks for the the history lesson including your choice of chewing gum throughout your lifetime, and the breakdown of ww2 bazooka’s vs modern artillery. You are truly an odd bird…
