Javelin Joe and Nico, Nico Man

Absolute best thing that can happen is that Nico plays in every game because it's so out of hand that it's clean up time.

The only positive way for Nico to take over would be JM3 was playing good enough for us to win and gets a slight injury. Nico comes in and lights it up all the way around throwing , running , reading Ds and leadership. To the point Hueple just cannot take him out.
The bad would be if JM3 is replaced due to performance and Nico came in and made some freshman mistakes and we have a QB back and forth all year.

Al McGuire use to say that the best thing about a freshman is that next year he'll be a sophomore.

Not to act snarky, but hardly anybody buys that brand of gum anymore. Maybe some desperate for a chew folks. DoubleMint, Orbit, Trident, Stride, and so on. It does remain poplar in some countries, especially Israel, perhaps because of its Jewish connection. I grew up chewing and popping it. But later, it got surpassed by the likes of: Chiclets, Wrigley's Big Red, Mentos Bubble Gum, Hubba Bubba, Dubble Bubble etc.
The old WWII bazooka would do much if any damage to modern tanks. But the GM-148 Javelin literally blows the turret right off tanks. Which is what we want to believe JoMil will do with his long range artillery arm. No matter, some of us like the JoMil moniker of Bazooka Joe, I prefer Javelin Joe, to each his own.
Nobody buys it because it isn't marketed. Bazooka Joe Milton and his NIL will create a resurgence of love for the brand.

Didnt know there was a QB competition. Why do you guys fall for the same mumbo jumbo "no spot is secure" coach speak that we have heard from the past 3 coaches? Your starting QB is Joe Milton until he is injured or doesnt play winning football.
Well, when the coaches flat-out stated there is a QB competition I'm taking their word until there is something else said. Do I think its a real competition? No.. but competition or not if Nico comes in and looks all world and Milton looks bad Nico it will become a competition.

He doesn't throw tons of picks because he has the same problem Hendon had. Holds onto the ball too long. Now obviously Hooker was so damn good that that rarely cost the team much.. Joe also throws it so damn hard receivers are generally the only ones with a shot to catch it. If the defenders could catch they be receivers too.
That still comes down to.. him not turning the ball over right? Maybe I'm seeing things weirdly but 142 passes and 0 ints and 12 tds seems like a guy that takes care of the ball.

I do find it entertaining that in this offense where the ball comes out fairly fast one is saying the QB's held it too long its not like these guys were getting sacked last a high rate.. what is that thought based on? In fact one of the knocks on Hooker in his NFL scouting reports from most scouts is he pulls the ball down too early and runs..Im gonna go with the scouts opinion and my own eyes over yours.

Bazooka Joe is it. No contest. Referring to a Javelin Joe will bring you blank stares...and then weird looks.🤓

when i say hold the ball too long I don't mean theyve done it habitually, its just when there's nothing there, both quarterbacks haven't opted to throw the ball away. They pull the ball down and take sacks. Never seen quarterbacks like that who don't hurt their team doing it before now, so its weird.

I agree fully. If Nico wins the starting job it means the season isn't going well. Now there is a chance he is just that good but it seems like Huepels offense takes some learning for the QB. I mean look at how much better Milton and Hooker looked in the offense after a year. Milton will have 3 years of experience in this offense. and that's nothing to sniff at. As the article says Milton starting means the team is going for wins if Nico wins the Job it means either Milton failed or he is just that good. I think over time Nico is better but as of now its gonna be hard for a freshman to beat out a veteran with 3 years in the offense and his physical gifts..

It's not like Milton is not a freaking unit guys. He needs more touch on his game. Its not like the guy is known for throwing tons of picks. He overthrows some balls that can be fixed and he's shown progress on that front.

If Nico wins the job it means the season isn’t going well? Don’t know if I agree with that line of thinking. What if Nico is just that good? I am confident in Milton’s abilities. But what if Nico is just that good that Heupel is forced to play him? That wouldn’t mean the season isn’t going well. That would be Heupel playing the best player.

the chances Nico is good enough to beat out Milton who will be in his third year in this system without a massive meltdown by Milton is slim. As I said before, it's not like Milton is some scrub. Nico winning the job means something went terribly wrong and that's not a knock on Nico. The coaches said it's gonna be a QB competition in the spring but reality is it's Joe's job to lose. That means of Nico starts Joe lost the Job meaning something bad has happened.

Reality is our best chance of winning anything big is if Joe starts the whole season. Based on what we KNOW now that's a fact. We think Nico will be a great College QB and it's likely he is. We have evidence Joe can run this offense, has the experience and has stuck through it all. We HOPE Nico is the man. The facts in front of us say Joe is the right move

It is marketed. As I said, it's rather popular overseas, especially in Israel. As for whether Bazooka will offer JoMil a NIL deal, that remains to be seen. I wouldn't be surprised if they did. And that has nothing to do with what I choose to call him. No need to go to war about it. It's too trivial a matter. Besides that, I'm too much like ole Hammerhead Harrison.
