Hearing he may be the guy if Jon reverses course. Would bring Raheem Morris and a staff with a "UT flavor"....would be a HR hire IMO
Cincinnati Bengals: Jay Gruden
Why no interview before then???
Sure he would finish out the year but could be named sooner
Distraction, NFL teams or college teams rarely grant interviews until season ends. He will likely interview for NFL teams. Depending on how the Bengals finish, he might take over for the Bengals though unlikely.
So a sought-after coach that MANY NFL teams considered hiring as a head coach this last off season, suddenly is just an ok-at-best coach not good enough to be a head coach in the college ranks?
Damn ya'll are ridiculous. Its truly a great thing none of you run an athletic department haha

huh? I wasn't aware I had a cause lol. I'm not saying Jay would be a great hire.... don't think it'd be bad by any means, but not sure if its the one we need right now.
I'll say again.
If Arky hires a proven CFB coach and we hire Tag a long Jay then we deserve to lose some more. Is the guy qualified to be a coach? Sure, he's been excellent in arena league. His Bengals have set the world on fire what with all that offensive dominance.....
Btw 29th in 3rd down conversions.
