Jayson Jenkins plans to enter transfer portal

Look. There is zero risk for a player to enter the portal. They need some risk.

If you enter the portal, your NIL and your scholarship is removed. You are no longer part of the team or on scholarship. Can’t use the football resources, etc.

It is your risk that you take. Until there is risk on both sides, you will see this continue to happen.

Now, if the team wants to offer you a scholarship back, fine. But when you are in the portal, you are not a scholarship NCAA football player.

Uh.

It is a teams choice of whether to take someone back after they enter the portal or not

Once a player enters the portal, the original team doesn't have to take them back.

If they enter the portal the school doesn't have to take them back. NIL is not tied to the school

This was deliberate. He entered the TP last year and had second thoughts. He came back to a defensive scheme he knew, padded his stats, increased his stock and put himself back there more marketable than last year. Good business but it sucks for the team and the fans who still daydream about loyalty to a university. This is what the ncaa created. Brought back parody for sure but having to rebuild team every year should not be part of the bargain

He’s toyed with the portal like Tyler Baron did to us several times. Time to move on. DL is about the only group I feel like we have a coach that can develop talent no matter what he’s got to work with, so I think CRG will still have a strong unit next year regardless of what happens with the portal.

Long live capitalism!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wouldn't have this mess if the big shots at schools weren't so greedy about taking all the benefits of name image and likeness while forbidding players to benefit from the same; for so many decades. Greed begats greed, which is the central core of modern day capitalism.
