just run upon your site and thought i was post... First of all i am not a vols hater just a very big bama fan. I was reading on some other boards about somone taking his act for him and i was wondering if any one had heard any news of the sort. There seems to be a lot of noise going on here lately, just wanted to chat with both sides of the fence before drawing any conclusions..... i hope you fellas have a great day and look forward to posting agian....... i gott say this.... roll tide.

First of all, I haven't heard anything on this Swain issue. Honestly, I am guessing that you read it on a Bama board. I have read so many rumors like this on Bama boards in the last year that it's hard for me to take it too seriously. I am not saying that it couldn't be true, I just haven't seen one thing about it on any of the Vols sites that I frequent.

I just found some discussion on this incident and also saw the source. I still will be suprised if anything comes out of it.

Bama if you do find any incriminating information, please remember to report it to your Athletic Department. Do not under any circumstances contact the NCAA directly!

I seriously do not believe Swain cheated or had someone take the test. I got to talk to him in the fall and I think I mentioned his score and he was down on himself for not scoring better. He's a good guy and I hope none of this is true.

finally a reply, naw just playing. i don't know what is to come of it or if it is even true. all this stuff just starts sounding the same to me. like they say , there is always some truth to rumor. it is said they have a video tape and signed testitmony from the kid that took the test for him.. they said he scored a 5 on the first try and a amazing 16 on the second which is nearly impossible from what is being written... there is something also about a tennessee booster, a whole bunch of stuff, we'll just have to wait to see if it comes out at all.....

A 5?!!! He didn't make no 5...I mean I don't know if he did sheesh he made the Dean's List at UT in the Fall with a 3.0 or above.

And don't you have to have an ID to take the test so wouldn't they know if he cheated with another person taking it....

This is a ridiculous topic. Just because something is alleged means there is no reason to believe that there is any truth to the rumor. Accusing this young man of cheating on his ACT, and discussing his grades in an open forum is just plain wrong. These rumors are most likely started by disgruntled Bama fans. I wish one of the fans would let me know if UT. The SEC or NCAA has an ongoing investigation into the allegations. I would bet that there is no such investigation.

Bama is SO desperate for ANYTHING to "get" UT on, they will stoop to making stuff up. Just listen to Paul Finebaum sometime if you don't believe me.

Well, the guilty usually need to point their fingers at someone else. Especially Bama fans. They are so bitter over UT's recent successes over them that they cannot stand it. No offense to any Bama fans who post on here, but sour grapes NEVER taste good.

I agree with you Orange. If he had made an 11 point improvement, the ACT, UT admissions and the NCAA would have gone nuts as soon the score was compiled.

This story would be plausible if he had scored maybe 10-12 the first time, but a 5!? The fringe Alabama fans are so bitter that they can't even make up good stories anymore.

Lame? Lame is coming on a rival board and trying to stir up a stink with unfounded rumors and speculations. Your first post said "First of all I am not a Vols hater." I think not only are you a Vol hater but a poor liar as well. Fans like you are what makes the Bama program so hated. Turn off Finebaum for a few days to clear your head and then you can better recognize what "lame" is.
ONE thing we CAN be sure of is if Swain DID make more than a 5 on his ACT, he sure as heck didn't get an Alabama student to take his test for him.

What's next? The nanna nanna boo boo post? Don't be so childish. The smiley faces have NOTHING to do with anything. Your coming on here and PRETENDING to be "Vol-friendly" (as if we couldn't see right through your "roll tide" mess) and your allegations against OUR football players has EVERYTHING to do with it. I know rivalry is part of college sports and I accept and enjoy it. But credit those of us on this board with enough sense to know a bitter, malicious, ENVIOUS Bammer when we see one. You can lay your cards on the table here. We don't have to like what you say, nor do you have to like how we respond. It's just being taken for an idiot that makes me angry. If you hate the Vols, fine. I hate Bama and am not afraid to say so. Does that mean I'm going to go on a Bama board and talk about what a bunch of cheaters who have to BUY a football program the Bama athletic system is? No. Well......maybe. But I wouldn't pretend to be Bama-friendly before I did it. That's just MY opinion. I am now turning my rant off and wish you a nice day in return.

so therefore you believe no college cheats at some point or time. not even your beloved VOLS , it happens everyday , somehow or someway it happens. just some colleges try not to go to far. if bama went to far prove it, so far from the literature i have read about the case, shows bama got popped with a lot of things they didn't do or things they can't prove... and the drastic sentence, i think second worse in ncaa history. yeah that ******* burns... i love football, i love bama football probably as much as you like your VOLS. not trying to start a war just good conversation... maybe a little rowdy at times but good conversation

I hardly think Coach Fulmer or Steve Spurrier just cooked up some allegations against Bama because they had nothing better to do. If Bama isn't guilty, then neither was O.J.

That's what this board is for. And I don't remember any rules against being "a little rowdy". But if you're on here looking for someone to admit that Bama was innocent, and Coach Fulmer was wrong, I don't think you're going to find anyone like that here. Just so you know.

Exactly which allegations do you deny Bama was guilty of?? I'm curious. :)
