" For the last few years we have had a top 3 defense. Guys graduate and leave, we reload and are as good as before. "

Florida never has to worry about depth on defense. I think talented defensive players in Florida high schools know they can get playing time at UF no matter who is starting now or what coaches leave. Its more precarious for UT - not impossible, but requires a stable and knowledgeable coaching staff.

Doesn't this happen every year?

Either someone for UF gets hurt and/or they look "bad" in the game or two before UT, UT fans get giddy and UF still wins.

There was a UF QB preseason injury last season and everyone here got excited...so yeah, I guess so

I cannot for the life of me conjure up happiness at a young mans despair. Hopefully he and his teammates make full recoveries and enjoy a full season. To me its just bad karma to relish such things. imo
