Jeff Fisher will return

I was on the fence about keeping Fisher, but if the Titans had fired him, he would have had no difficulty getting another NFL job. Getting rid of Young was the right decision, but now the Titans can't miss on their next choice of franchise QB.

I was wanting him fired, then I realized if he left, Munchak, as well as Washburn would be gone with him.

As a completely unbiased NFL observer (I have no favorite NFL team), the absolute love fest with Jeff Fisher puzzles me. He's a mediocre coach with a very loyal owner who is living off two things: 1) A super bowl appearance. 2) He sucks up to Adams.

Now, Vince Young is not going to be a HOF QB. That is easy to see. However, the man saved Jeff Fisher's job last year. You think Fisher would be a little more grateful? Fisher never gave Vince a chance. He never wanted Vince, and as I heard someone say earlier, that is very hard for a QB to swallow when you are always looking behind your back and know your coach doesn't want you. No matter what Vince did, it was never good enough. And Vince had enough.

I think the main reason Fisher stayed was because of the lockout. And I think the Titans need to part ways with Young, just like Fisher should be fired. JMO.

Completely untrue.

yellow and black? come on man!
It's better than the black and red :loco:
VY is garbage

Best post I have ever seen from you! :)

Anyway, what kind of leader was VY? He showed how pathetic he was when he threw his jersey and pads into the stands. He is nothing but a diva who can't handle the pressure of an NFL career. He showed that recently with his 2 week disappearance when his mom had to call and said she was afraid he would do something to himself. I mean really? Something is wrong with him.

Bad examples...he gave his pads to some girl in the stands (I think a relative of Bud Adams or something, don't remember) to thank her for supporting him, and I'm pretty sure his disappearance was like 4 hours long (not 2 weeks, wtf) and he was just at a friend's house...not a huge VY fan, but those two situations got taken wayyyyy overboard by the media.

I might be wrong about the first part, but there is hardly any doubt about the second part.

You think that team still goes 8-8 with Kerry Collins starting all 16 games in 2009. No way. They would have gone 3-13/4-12 and Adams would have said bye.

I think he would probably be gone if there wasn't a impending strike on the horizon. You can't ignore the fact he lost this team this year. He also made a crappy hire in Chuck Cecil.

This! Heard on 104.5 earlier this week that Bud indicated keeping Fisher was a money decision. Makes you think Fisher would have been fired if not for the impending lockout and Fisher's year remaining on the contract.
