Not disagreeing with anything here but the bolded ones I found quite hilarious. The first because that was 100% political and the 2nd because the guy sucks and won't see the floor if he could barely last year.

HAHAHA okay you caught me! So maybe I was talking up Harrelson a bit, but you cant blame a guy for trying!

If UK is in the final four, the words surprised/shocked won't be used for me.

UT IE 95 is mentally insane. First of all, Porter isnt even on the team anymore. Second of all, our starting lineup is

John Wall- #1 HS player-5 star
Eric Bledsoe- #3 PG in the nation- 5 star
Darius Miller- Former KY Mr. Basketball(beat scotty hopson for that award)
Patrick Patterson-Beast, enough said
Demarcus Cousins- #2 HS player, 5 star

Reserves
Daniel Orton-5 star Center
Jon Hood-4 star SG
Darnell Dodson-4 star SF
Ramon Harris- defensive specialist
Stevenson-former starter, very experienced, shot blocker
Josh Harrelson- 3 point shooter, dark-horse role player on this team
DeAndre Liggins- 5 star PG from 2008 class

Plus, theres rumors now that Xavier Henry, the best SG in the 2009 class, is going to pull out of Kansas, and come to UK now, because Jodie Meeks stayed in the draft! That's more than just a rumor at this point. UK officials have said they have "big news" to announce on monday regarding a "New, unexpected player coming to the program", and Xavier Henry just pulled out of all of his summer classes at Kansas. So throw Xavier Henry into that mix, please tell me how we're not top 5?

But still, if there is going to be one team in the SEC that will compete along side us for the crown it will probably be UT!

More support that the UAT football and UK basketball fanbases are very similar.

How much impact did Derrick Rose have as a frosh? Carmelo Anthony? Chris Webber? Jalen Rose? Glenn Davis? Do I need to really list the plethora of freshmen who have elevated their team in the last decade?

Hat...do you think Calipari will have any problems with team chemistry?

I would think that's the biggest road block they would face this year

Just jumping in front of Hat for a minute, my apologies. He can comment on whether I am right or not if he wishes.

I feel like we will see some early season bumps along the way. Patterson, Hood, Miller, these guys should get along fine. However, Wall/Cousins/Orton and bledsoe to an extent all like to get their shot off. Stack those one and done ego's on top of one another in a dribble drive offense that encourages/promotes one on one play, we might see some issues early on.

However I feel that by december/January those kinks should be worked out.

I doubt Wall/Cousins/Orton/Bledsoe will all be one and done.

It depends on how you define "chemistry." Will they take some time to adjusting to each other and ,for example, learning where the best spot to pass to a particular teammate? Yes. Will they spend time bickering among themselves over shots and playing time like small children? No.

I doubt it very seriously as well. However it does not change the fact that all of the first three have already stated in interviews that its their goal to be good enough to leave after one year. Which is why I used "one and done ego" to describe their attitudes. I don't think that they will all go one and done, especially orton or Bledsoe.

The 2nd was what I was alluding to...

Any team with that many new players needs time to get past the first...

But with that many big time recruits coming in and playing in a dribble drive offense that promotes 1-on-1 play I wonder how things will go when (not if) they hit the freshman wall

Those are good points...

None of us will know until the season...but there will almost certainly be a freshman wall and it will be interesting to see how they respond...especially the 'one and done' types (you know...the ones that are susceptible to big egos)
