It's possible that the fired staffer accessed the clip after he or she no longer worked for ABC, which would be extremely unethical if not totally illegal, so it's possible that his or her firing is justified.

But, whether the firing was justified or not, it says a lot that the media establishment acted so quickly to identify and punish the whistle-blower, while those who spiked this story will never face consequences for not only failing in their journalistic duties, but for failing to protect children they knew were being abused.
