Jeremy Banks Comments

Not true, defense has actually been surprisingly good at times, we must have been watching different teams lol
Defense obviously was infected by pod people before kickoff. That’s the ONLY explanation that makes sense. It’s like a bus full of people that LOOK like our Defense showed up but with no talent, passion, or anything resembling a pulse

I get the feeling that CJH might be very calm and gracious in the press conference but you don’t mess with him inside that locker room

One of things I have liked about him is how he handles pressers. He doesn’t say a lot of nonsense, comes across as honest, avoids being baited into saying things he shouldn’t, offers praise without focusing on any one player too much, criticizes fairly without tossing players under the bust, and takes ownership, sharing in the fault in losses, regardless of who messed up.

Yup, don’t shame publicly but demand accountability inside the locker room. My feeling is that he is 10x more pi$$ed than anyone on Volnation and whoever isn’t carrying their weight will not be stepping on that field against Vandy

It can’t. Even if there is some lockeroom thing at the heart of this, one guy not being there couldn’t have caused what we saw on Saturday. Other people didn’t play well enough. Either the desire just wasn’t what it needed to be or they didn’t prepare well enough. Even if Banks is so important that at least a few more on defense can’t play fundamentally sound football, there is still some blame on the coaches too. To let whatever happened get to the point where things were that screwed up is a failure of coaches to deal with whatever the situation was and get their kids priorities right.
UT had this problem years back when Bituli was at MLBer and set the defense. He got injured and UT was very fortunate to have Colton Jumper who was savvy enough to call the defensive signals. This could very well be a case of UT not being prepared to have to rely on a back-up play-caller and could be a huge part of the problem. That would be on the coaches, imo. I'm not 100% positive that Bituli was the LBer in that instance but certain that Jumper was the back-up.

Check out the Talkin Vawls podcast on Hooker vs Banks. It is on YouTube. He is referencing Banks stepping on power T, refuses to do pushups. Hooker calls him out. Banks gets up in Hooker's face, and so on.

Maybe. But her mother is an awesome singer. Have some of her songs on my Spotifly playlists

Scandinavian Musik is one of my greatest joys. They turn out some fantastic artists over there. Musik can bring the world together much better than politics IMHO.

Then perhaps mom should have her in singing lessons and not political activism

So, we are to believe that the defense just laid down because one of them wasnt with the team? I dont buy that. They didnt put in all the work to get where they were just to lay down in protest. Whats worse would be to do that with potential scouts watching some of them. Maybe just maybe, we got exposed by what many on here have said all year, our defense isnt very good.

We’re not an elite or even great defense… but You don’t give up 63 points…… go back and watch the replay and you will see players allowing players to catch the ball and run to gain the first down before tackling. Multiple times. I say something is up.

Y’all are probably stirring the altercation pot way to hard. In this current society, an altercation has occurred when two people voice a disagreement in anything above a whisper.

By today’s rules of discourse, back when Big Al loudly told Peyton to STFU in the locker room they had an altercation.

If Hooker and Banks exchanged words over something it likely got verbally loud, as fiesty as Banks is known to be, and Milton could have simply played peacemaker since it’s been said that both guys apparently involved shook hands afterwards.

If this is rules violation issue it likely has more to do with a bad communication failure between a player and his coaches.

At this point it’s still all just social media bs and rumors running amuck.

He may not play another down.
Rules are Rules and Standards are Standards. Sounds like he failed at both.
CJH was and is not going to put up with this from any player. There is a standard to be met.
Banks has had his chances to conform and he chose not to comply.
I hate it but be gone.
If you have played on a team with certain rules for 3-4 years. Why do you choose to violate a rule with 3 - 4 games left? Why do you choose not to go to meetings?

I'm not in the loop as to why he missed - if he returns, I hope it's with a kick ass attitude but if he doesn't then I wish him well. Learning can be hard.

Playing Vandy at home is not a cake walk. I was there in 2016 and 2018 and swore I would not step foot into that stadium ever again. Banks is a hard hitting LB and we need more of that. Our secondary is soooo bad. It has been that way for as long as I can remember. I will be watching from home. Last Saturday night was a gut wrenching loss for team and fans. Hope we only have one of those this year. Hope and pray for the excellent health of our team and those who are recovering from injuries. Joe Milton should get the start and I hope he doesn't get the deer in the headlights syndrome like he has in the past. So much talent...so many bad decisions. Go Vols! Beat Vandy by alot. Please show up defense!

You greatly underestimate young people's ability to act in an, dare I use the term, unprofessional manner..

Scenario is this: You have a young team that does not have an Al Wilson. Add a disgruntled player that has enough players who "have his back". Then an incident takes place, he is disciplined and in their view, unfairly, you have the makings of a revolt. The younger the team the easier it can happen IMO..

DISCLAIMER: I am NOT saying this is what happened. I do not know. I'm saying it can happen much easier than you think...

Edit: If they sh!t the bed against Vandy, we will have our answer..

There was an altercation between Hooker and Banks that involved NIL money...this is no longer speculation.

Translation = Yes, they were in an altercation but no, I am not commenting on it. Yes, JB's immature antics cost the entire team and VN the opportunity to compete in the CFP this year.

PERIOD
I'm NOT defending Banks but IMO the bigeer problem is not having a CLEAR leader in the locker room who squashes crap like this... Think Al Wilson...

Al Wilson cleaned the bones. Yes?

The only way to address Al Wilson was...

Yes sir.
No sir.
