normally i'd say yeah; but the "big play" aspect of that last play really gave frontrunner to crabtree, not only did he break the tackles, but he forced/got his way into the endzone.

had it just been a ball thrown up into the endzone and caught, then harrell would prob be more of the heisman fav
but statistically Crabtree can't touch Harrell.

I see it the other way around. If it had been a ball thrown up, I would give more credit to crabtree. That play they run on a regular basis. It calls for harrell to throw the ball to the outside shoulder of crabtree. Not taking anything away from crabtree, but if that ball is not thrown just right, that play does not work. I give the edge to harrell. just MHO!

very nice view of it. yeah i agree too that it takes skill from crabtree to put the ball there or the play doesnt work.

but the big question is, who does the media raise up as the hero out of this, and thus who do the heisman voters see more of? I think it'll be crabtree

course, but if heisman was just about statistics, it wouldnt be such a controversial award now would it?
It's not just about statistics, but there are a slew of winners that took it home based solely upon statistics.

Andre Ware won the thing for goodness sake. Klingler damn close.

Give the award to both of them... srsly. Neither would be what they are without the other, IMO... or someone like the other.
