Really? Not one game all year did I think he looked like an NFL QB. Hard to believe some said he was the top QB prospect at the start of the season.

Honestly surprised that he is going. Think he probably should have played out another year. He didn't really impress anyone this year.

@Goliver

Do you think he looked even remotely ready to make this jump?

Beat me to it dude. Maybe a smart idea, honestly. Rather than fall into obscurity in Houston Nut'ts sinking ship as all of CEO's players graduate, jump ship while people still know who you are.

Snead '08 vs. Snead '09 shows the difference that an elite left tackle can have on an offense.

Yeah Ole' Miss was loaded... NOT!

Cleveland needs a new interception machine, maybe he goes there. Quinn and Anderson have reached their quota. LOL!! Mallett will be a much better pro. IMO

Dumb decision on Snead. He needs to prove he's an NFL QB again after last season where he was a liability to say the least.

they can't wait a year? they'll be in a lot better shape financially if he is a first round pick rather than a 3rd or 4th round.

Maybe he's self-aware enough to realize that he sucks enough that coming back will only damage him even worse. Might as well go ahead and start drawing a paycheck this year instead of next.

if he thinks he is going to be worse next year he surely can't believe he will succeed in the nfl. seems like more an indictment on the coaching staff.

This is Ole Miss' 2010 schedule:

Jacksonville State
@ Tulane
Vanderbilt
Fresno State
Kentucky
@ Alabama
@ Arkansas
Auburn
Louisiana-Lafayette
@ Tennessee
@ LSU
Mississippi State

With that schedule, no McCluster, and no Snead, they'll do well to go 7-5. The weak nonconference schedule might be the only reason they get to a bowl. Very tough SEC road schedule for the Rebels.

One of the many Ole Miss alums in my office told me that he's going for financial reasons. His dad lost his job. Dunno how true it is, but if it does hold water then best of luck.
