yet another recent sec qb with all the physical talent in the worl, yet seemingly does not have the head for the pro game. russell, stafford, cutler, campbell, etc. what's up with the trend?

It's way too early to dismiss Stafford, though I admit I didn't think he'd end up being any good. Cutler's not a lost cause. He just had no help this year which led to all his picks. Campbell could be okay with consistent/good coaching and playmakers around him.

With you on Stafford. Cutler IMO will need tons of work regarding his decision making, I don't think he'll ever not be a high risk player. More of a liability than an asset. Campbell IMO is the only one of those that I listed that I think could turn out alright... Calling the Redskins o-line since he's been there "garbage" is an insult to garbage.

Still, seems like kind of a common thread with SEC quarterbacks in the NFL over the last 5-ish years.

EDIT: Heck, I could say the same thing about Ainge. Size and arm strength in spades, the only difference is nobody expected him to be a quality starting QB in the pros.

Snead is an interception waiting to happen. He had like 17 last year and 20 this year. The kid is seriously over-rated. He freaks out under pressure. If he can get drafted, there is no reason why Crompton can't.

he should stay and finish his education.

Education was never on his top ten list. He's just pulling the cord to slow his draft position drop. One more year at the current deteriorating rate and he may have been forced to go the free agent route. And he'll turn 30 pretty soon, I think. The next Weinke.

However, ole miss might be in line for an NC soon. they followed Snead's visits to Gainesville and Austin.
