what I don’t understand is if JG is our best chance then what do we have in the wind? If I was better than JG then why stay? Why not enter the portal?

Wrong. Game was out of reach early 3rd period. Maurer didn't come in until about 4 min mark in the game.

I posted that at the start of the game. After the first failed series in the second half they should have made the change. IMO. Guess CP thought otherwise.

I know Pruitt is locked in for a while but I wonder what extreme scenario it would take for Pruitt to be axed at the end of the year. Would it take a few players on the team like Henry T and Bailey to hit the transfer portal. What if Hyatt, Wideman or K Lawrence all decided to leave also or most of our 4/5 stars in the 2021 class to decommit ?

I believe I’m more negative than you at this point. I don’t think CJP is the guy. I don’t think he’ll be fired for at least two seasons after this one. I Don’t want to misrepresent what you’re saying but you seem to think that UT will finally get it right next time. Or is it that you think anyone is better than this guy. My question is for you or anyone else, what makes you think we will finally hire a good coach next time?

Because I believe my university doesn’t actually care about winning championships and we won’t win another in my lifetime

JG starts against Arkansas. No HB in the last 5 games. JG for life he will start again in 2021. Deal with it. This is what UT gets for $400,000 plus. They may give Coach Pruitt more next year too begin the season in 2021.

I’m not confident we will get it right if Pruitt is fired. I’m sure Pruitt will be here thru 2021 minimum. My question was a hypothetical about how bad would it have to get if UT would be willing to absorb the 12 million buyout prior to 2021. Not that I think it would happen , just thinking worst case scenarios as I mentioned specific players leaving in the prior post.

I don’t think he can be fired. Lose out. Lose all recruiting progress. It won’t matter. Covid is one hell of an excuse.

I think we’re stuck with this **** show for at least two more years. No matter what. I actually think he’s going to figure out how to win enough to be here even longer. No way he improves enough to win championships.
