This news broke on ESPNews' bottom line. They've only been 1-A since something like 2001. They've been competitive and ranked for most of his tenure in the Big East. He's had more success than UConn and they came in about the same time. Why fire him? Thoughts?

I can't believe they fired a coach that has done as much as he has for a young D-1 program over something "alleged"

Tuberville is on record as having said that's the job he really wants..... If USF hires him they should be in good shape.

I am going to assume that Tommy tubbs will take this job and gran will join him. Seems to be a better job than Texas tech for both. I did not see gran leaving fl st for the Podunk town at Texas tech. But I really could see gran leaving fl st to stay in fl where he recruits and I also think this is an easier school to recruit players to.

Already heard his name along with Tubbs this morning. Actually..Fulmer probably would be a good fit as long as he made the right hires. Would bring some recognition and competition wouldn't be as tough as SEC.
