I didn't mean Tressel would be fired or OSU would be put on the death penalty. But he did go to a place there is no return. We know students do this stuff anyway and the rules are stupid but as a coach you can't act like you condone it. Remember how FUlmer never really acted like the players were wrong for acting like thugs. Then the discipline issues were always a distraction and continued on the field. We know UF had off the field issues but they and other schools always dealt with it. They never stopped totally but they never acted like it was ok or it will get worse. Tressel just opened up the flood gates. I disagree that this will not be a one time thing. When your qb does it then it trickles to the team. There is no fear from the players that they will have consequences from OSU at all. And you also open up the door for your rivals to start snitching on you as it they start to get sloppy. SO what I foresee is more types of this stuff in the future and the ncaa having to do something at some point.
