Jimmy Calloway has entered the transfer portal

Everyone is acting like the 2 jimmy’s are running away and the portal is killing football when in reality they were probably shown the door. Tennessee will have its pick of talent in the portal at wideout and the coaches are well aware of this.

I have to imagine WR's will flock to Tennessee under Heupel. It is a pass heavy offense with a lot of high percentage passes.

Our offense just wasn’t explosive enough I guess
It's more to the philosophy of little in-game rotation of WR's due to our pace. I don't blame anybody for wanting more playing time. I was hoping one of them stuck around and tried to follow the Hyatt method....work your tail off to improve and force your way on the field. Keyton, Bru, and Squirrel seem to be penciled in next year. If one of them leave, I'll worry a little.

With this offense it’s going to be mighty difficult to replace two non-starters at WR either through recruiting or the transfer portal. LOL.

Best of luck!

Can't blame either of them.

Silly how we don't rotate enough at WR.
But we'll target Tillman 18 times in one game haha.

And now Leacock, Webb, Seldon are prime time players that will need to see the field.
I really hope Heupel adjusts that strategy just a tad.
- just like he added the feature of slowing down with a lead late in the 4th. That was critical vs LSU. He didn't do that year one.
Yeah let's get back to Zach Azzani rotations. That piled up the stats!

And errytime a WR enters the portal, we got the same posters asking "Why are they leaving?" stumping for the need to land a transfer.

When he took that screen all the way to the house in the Pitt game last year I was convinced he would have a great year. 15 months later here we are.

One thing our staff does which I actually like is they keep the WR rotation very short which I think allows the guys playing to gain confidence and you get max production that way.

They're not getting to play.

It doesn't matter how great an offense is if you can't participate in it..
These guys may not. But our offense spreads it around more than the number 2 offensive team.

An Ohio State had 5 guys with more than 9 catches, and 4 with multiple TDs.

The number 1 passing offense, Washington had: 9 guys with more than 9 catches, and only 4 with multiple TDs.

Tennessee had: 8 guys with more than 9 catches, and 7 with multiple TDs.

Not willing to do dig more but it seems like we play guys as much as anyone and spread it around.

Ok. I did dig around a little more. It's not like we are overly top heavy compared to those too. In fact Hyatt, our leading WR in receptions, would have been third at Washington, and second at OSU only by 1 more reception than their #2.

So these guys may be leaving because THEY arent getting to play, but it's no fault of our system.

I like the girl with the "Down with this sort of stuff" sign.

Next time I see Saban, I'm going to hold up that same sign to him.
It’s a little mild for a climate protest sign. She is the type of person who reads twitter and says “well I don’t know if I agree with that”.

Thread TLDR past page 2 but just making sure that the proper recognition had been given to this thread, the OP and those who don’t know the difference betwixt a Holiday and a Calloway .

I wouldn't count on it. The lack of rotation seems integral to his scheme. I imagine it's tough to maintain tempo and force mismatches when you're constantly substituting personnel.

Correct. These guys are juniors who were unable to carve out playing time. And with guys behind them like Webb, Nimrod and White, I doubt their prospects will improve much.

I had high hopes for him. Wondered why I didn't see him on the field more often. Guess it was just a bad fit. Good luck Mr. Calloway.
