I haven't heard Trump say anything about it. I however think it is disrespectful to Trump not to raise the flags as a new incoming administration takes office.

He passed over two weeks ago. We have an inauguration coming up. They should fly at full staff. No disrespect to President Carter as they will return to half staff following the inauguration.

it’s a pretty unique situation. I did a little googling and it doesn’t appear as this situation, for any reason, has happened before. I think it’s only wrong from the opposing standpoint. Raising it to full staff for Inauguration Day and returning seems like a pretty reasonable compromise. Always try the shoe on other foot….if Harris was being inaugurated and it was at half staff for either Bush’s death, I imagine the arguments would be the same in the opposite direction.
