Jimmy Clausen playing on ESPN2

The school he plays for has only been in exsistance for 6 years. I'm guessing they acquire all the Cali talent and play ball. There two tackles were 6-5.

I say it's a place where if you can play D-1 you go there.

Pretty cool seeing the best players playing both ways. Star RB Marc Tyler also making tackles at linebacker. Gotta love high school ball.

Yeah, I stopped watching... I already know about the best recruits, I know plenty about Oaks Christian.

BTW, Venice has a pretty good runningback themselves.

Jimmy Clausen at the age of 19 looks better throwing the ball than Rick Clausen ever dreamed of, he looks real good. You can tell he's been coached out the wazzu. I bet that football never went below his shoulder all night. I see big things.

Ron Powlus was supposed to be a savior. everybody said the same things about him that they do now about Jimmy.

Ron Powlus failed to live up to the expectations of Beano Cook, other than that he was an above average QB at a school where the talent level was declining all around him.

That being said, the circus around Jimmy, along with his own comments, have done nothing but set him up for failure. Clausen could break every single ND school record in passing, however, if he fails to win 2 Heismans and 4 National Championships, Jimmy's promise, then he has failed.

My personal opinion, Clausen does not win the starting job his freshman or sophomore years and he transfers.

First of all, did I understand you correctly that Clausen promised 4 NC's. If he did then he is a moron.

Also, Crompton would kick Clausen's ass.

not disagreeing with you at all.

however, how good is little Clausen really? he plays on a football team that's loaded with D1 prospects, and the guys who don't get th D1 offers still pull rides at D1-AA schools. anybody who has a kid who can play sends their kid there. it's not like he's carrying a bunch of kids who won't put another helmet on as soon as high school is over.

he's cocky like Casey, but if he plays with the heart of Rick, and uses his skill, the sky is the limit. i guess we just have to see his heart.
