I'm an imsomniac...so unfortunately when I'm on here rarely there is very many people on here. I usually just talk to myself. Getting old seems impossible to me right now. I can't even fathom it. I have a feeling I'll have a mid life crisis from age 30 to age 60. Let's hope I'll have the money to support it.

Well enjoy it!!!....but getting older is not that bad as long as your in good shape, and not a fat ass! Having a good income helps too....I didn't get back into school seriously until I was 30...Thank GOD!!!....I wasted my 20's partying all the time!...But now life is good!!!...Heading out tomorrow for K-town, I have 4 tickets too the South Carolina game, 12 rows off the field...can't wait!!!!

pretty sure arkansas is his alma mater and he has a specific clause in his contract that says if the Arky job becomes open while he's coaching at UNC that he can leave to take the job. I find it kind of difficult to believe as well, but my buddy is flat out convinced.

I've read that about BD too and the clause in his contract. Seems odd after 1 year but there's a reason his agent had that put in.

Houston not isn't going anywhere. As a matter of fact, he will be the proverbial "dean of SEC coaches" at the start of the 2008 season (replacing you-know-who).

Haven't heard anything about this...i think it is highly doubtful JJ ever coaches again. My guy in Fayetteville is convinced that Butch Davis takes the arky job.
that is currently being discussed on the talk shows here in Charlotte.

JJ at Arky would mean that UT would no longer play any conference games where we could expect to break even on the coaching front.

JJ could have any job in america college or pro. He ain't going to arkansas. Anyway why take a coaching job when he can make $1 mil a year and work 20 days out of the year (compared to 365).

alma mater's are just different. people do silly things when their stomping ground enters the equation.

Jimmy Johnson is a pipedream out here. He's not going to come here, or anywhere anytime soon. The guy sits back on his boat and fishes all the time and works on Sundays... why would he want to come out here to hogland and coach what will be one of the worst teams in the conference next year. They are going to have no talent here and the recruiting isn't great. He'll never come here. Butch Davis is a possibility, that clause in his contract makes me wonder...

He does have a buyout, but after one year's it's $2 Million dollars. His salary is only $1.8, so I don't see him leaving after only one year.

Now that I read more than 1 page of the thread I guess not. But, I thought he went to school somewhere else. Oh well.

I like this quote by Jimmy Johnson.

"Treat a person as he is, and he will remain as he is. Treat him as what he could be, and he will become what he should be."

that's a cute quote, but couldn't be further from the truth

It's more truth when presented in football terms. Atleast when talking about high school football. I guess it might not be true when talking about Pro Football, or real life. :dunno:
